PenguinMan Goes Bowling

Woke up on couch at Mom's Connecticut house

10:00 Well here I am. Mom's been up since 4AM about the time I got to sleep. She is in bed, where she spends much of her time, reading or listening to radio. There is ice on the ground, kind of melted snow. My sister moved my Cannondale Mtn bike outside, because they couldn't close the garage door and were afraid it would get stolen. Only overnight. It's about 40 degrees. Kind of like CA. Some processed rice pudding and fruit. Kinda like yogurt.




PenguinMan At Times Square Yesterday

I forgot to insert this picture yesterday of some young female PenguinMan fans at Times Square. It is neat the way people are attracted to PenguinMan. Especially young woman. Probably anything cuddly, they can't resist PenguinMan though.

It's is so much fun. People out of the blue will come and dance with you, start singing along, hug you, pictures left and right. 1 time at Times Square PenguinMan was challanged to a break dance. Where this guy did his moves and PenguinMan was supposed to do his moves. He pretty much just waddled.

I believe Times Square is the most fun of anywhere, but the police won't allow PenguinMan during the day, that 's OK, night is when it happens anyway

The girl on the left insisted on being on that side of me because she photographs better in this pose. Sure one side of her face is real deformed, not.

Also I forgot to say that almost everyone I spoke with at toy fair, the manufacturers, were very happy with this buying season. The light company Can You Imagine said it was their best in 5 years. This is hard to believe. Also the light company that is interested in my products says summer is their season to sell. That makes sense because County Fairs, rock concerts, etc.. mostly happen in the summer.

12:00 Nap. Been a long couple of days and not much sleep.

Didn't do a whole lots. No choice but to play with my 5 Y/O nephew Julian. Make Star Wars Lego toys. He likes the squishy toy I bought him at Toy Fair. It is pretty cool. You throw it on the floor and it turn into a puddle then morphs back to it's original shape. $3. Then we play a memory card game where he always wins. You can't beat a 5 Y/O at memory. Played with a foam glider.

7:00 Head over to Holiday Bowl to do what you do at a bowling alley. It was duck pin bowling. So PenguinMan felt at home. PenguinMan tried to bowl, but was all fins. On the way there next door was Hosmer Soda. A tiny soda company that still delivers to your house. They have great soda and they were open late on Thursdays. There was a feature article about their company in the NY Times in 2005

Turns out Julian beat PenguinMan 92 to 71. Of course he had the advantage of gutter bumpers. Almost every shot would have been a gutter ball, except the strike he made was legit. PenguinMan did bowl a strike too, but he never came close to a gutter ball.
