7:30 Darn it. I have 15 minutes to get out of here to make it to the WestFest Concert in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco for the 10AM guitar ensemble. I'd have to ride bike to San Rafael, catch a bus to SF, and ride to the park and make it there by 10AM. Not.
Work on Chris Lang's for stupid LANG4FX site, adding pictures. He's running for Town Council and I am trying to help him.
12:00 Finally out of here and bike it to SF. Takes me 2 hours and 15 minutes to go 22.75 miles. It is almost all bike path, most of it off the streets with cars to hit you.

I stopped and did a photo shoot for PenguinMan at the Vista Point. The hill from Sausalito to the top is steeper than I remember. Actually the Golden Gate Bridge is only about 150 feet above the water. Hard to measure it on Google Earth since it's satellite radar does not see the bridge, only the water underneath.

Once across the bridge you still have to go up about 100 more feet then it is a nice downhill to Seacliff, probably the risiest section of SF. Robin William's used to have a house there, now his ex-wife Marcia does. It is nice. From there it is not too far to Golden Gate Park and Speedway Meadows.

I did run into Frank Godino,m my good buddy from down the street. From where I live He was there with his wife Patsy and they were on their bicycles. Wow I thought they rode here too. Turns out they put the bikes in their van and drove it here. Got a place to park a block away. They didn't stay long. They wanted to ride around the park and see the Buffalo and go the Science museum again. Patsy isn't into this hippie stuff by any means.
This kind of event doesn't happen often and I think the buffalo ain't going anywhere soon. Besides Buffalo aren't native to SF. they never roamed Golden Gate Park. Hippies are native and did roam the park and are an endangered species. I forgot to take Frank & Patsy's picture.

On my way out I ran into Lydia's Organics Food Booth and Lydia and Mikey were there. She makes real great raw food in Fairfax. Yummilicious. Mikey mentioned to me that she could use an LED sign. I brought it up with her and she likes the idea. Said to contact her during the week at the office. Cool. I need the work. I could make something real nice.
Sorry to say PenguinMan never made an appearance at WestFest. I was way too busy and the little amount of time I got there, being so late. PenguinMan took a nap the entire time inside, of course, my Knapsack.
7:00 As I said before, I missed my ride with Richard. I could have put my bike in his truck. So I decided to ride my bike back to The Golden Gate Bridge Bus Pad and take the bus from the bridge the 12 mmiles to San Rafael. My bright LED headlight I made for my bike 2 years ago stopped working and my backup LED flashlight is on the blink, so I rode in the dark. Enough street lights and bike lanes to be safe. Plus I had my real bright LED FlashPack on and working fine. Stopped for a cup of coffee since I had about ½ hour till the next bus. My first cup of coffee in over 3 days. Not bad for me.
8:30 Bus was 15 minutes late, packed, standing room only. A lady boarded the bus that caught my eye. Very pretty and about my age. She eventually ended up standing next to me and we started talking. She was getting off in San Rafael, where I was and she also had a bike. Her name is Maite and she is from Spain. We rode bikes over to her house, she owns. She has new tenants, kids in their mid-20's. They have been there almost a month, never paid rent on their unit, never signed a lease, she wants them out. She is also renting out a 1 bedroom apartment she has and was washing the floor while I was there. It was real nice to meet her. I like her. She didn't want her picture taken because she was beat. 2 double shifts in 2 days. Bartending at The Golden Gate Theatre, South Pacific
11:00 Rode the 5 miles from her house to mine. Tried to upload photos to FaceBook but it kept freezing up my computer.
